At Reinsfelder, we\u2019re no strangers to oversized loads, but every now and then, a job comes along that truly stands out. That\u2019s exactly what happened when Bruce was tasked with transporting a 50-foot-long, 10-foot-8-inch-wide, 11-foot-6-inch-tall<\/strong> tank weighing 68,000 pounds<\/strong>. The Right Trailer for the Job<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Moving a load of this magnitude required the right equipment. Bruce used a RGN (Removable Gooseneck) Extendable Fontaine trailer<\/strong>, designed for hauling heavy and oversized freight. The extendable feature allowed for the extra length needed to accommodate the tank, while the RGN configuration made for easier loading and unloading. With a lower deck height, the trailer also ensured the load stayed within height restrictions along the route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transporting heavy and oversized freight is never as simple as hooking up and hitting the road.
