Ten tanks.<\/strong> Each one 45 feet long<\/strong>, 13′ wide<\/strong>, and 12’6″ high<\/strong>. The mission: move them from New Jersey<\/strong> to our yard at 108 Plunkett Drive<\/strong>\u2014and then from there, get every one of them to McKees Rocks, PA<\/strong>. It was no small task, and it took nearly the whole team to pull it off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Johnny<\/strong>, Ryan Macsween<\/strong>, Ryan Moran<\/strong>, Hoggin<\/strong>, Gabby<\/strong>, and Ernie<\/strong> kicked things off, hauling the tanks into our yard. With ten total to move, several of them had to make the trip twice<\/strong>, burning up the miles but keeping things smooth and steady.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once they arrived at Reinsfelder, Brian<\/strong>, Tank<\/strong>, and Hoggin<\/strong> took over. They ran the next leg, hauling each tank to McKees Rocks using stretch double-drop trailers<\/strong> opened to 50 feet<\/strong>. Loaded, each one came in at 110,000 lbs<\/strong> and stretched out to 50 feet long<\/strong>, 13 feet wide<\/strong>, and 14’8″ tall<\/strong>\u2014making them oversized in just about every direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigating through McKees Rocks brought its own set of problems. The height alone made clearing some of the underpasses<\/strong> a real gamble. We had three of our service trucks<\/strong> and three in-house escorts<\/strong> out front, guiding the way and keeping things tight. Even with all hands on deck, we still had to bring out our yard truck<\/strong> to help clear one low bridge<\/strong> that nearly brought things to a halt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a long weekend<\/strong> full of tight squeezes, repeat trips, and a lot of teamwork\u2014but everyone stayed sharp and got the job done. Hauls like these are a reminder: sometimes the toughest miles are the ones closest to home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
