On the Road with Reinsfelder: Johnny’s Giant Rock Crusher Haul

When it comes to moving the impossible, Johnny is no stranger to a challenge—but this haul might have topped them all. One of the biggest loads he’s ever handled, Johnny recently transported a massive rock crusher from North Carolina to New Jersey, and it was one of his toughest jobs yet.

The load came in at a staggering 230,000 lbs, stretching 130 feet long, 14 feet tall, and 12 feet wide. To move something this size, Johnny used a carefully engineered 13-axle trailer setup, built to distribute the weight and navigate some serious terrain.

The journey began in the winding roads and rolling hills of North Carolina and Virginia, where elevation changes and narrow rural stretches kept Johnny on his toes. Early on, he ran into trailer issues that required quick thinking and even quicker troubleshooting—but he pushed through and kept rolling.

By the time he reached New Jersey, things didn’t get any easier. Tight turns, urban congestion, and infrastructure not built for anything remotely this size made the final stretch a test of skill and patience. But Johnny, as always, found a way.

In the end, the crusher made it safely, thanks to Johnny’s grit, experience, and the support of the Reinsfelder team behind him.

Another oversized success—Johnny-style.
